PLEASE BEWARE OF WORLD WIDE VAN LINES
|
Please beware when considering this company. I will try to briefly tell what happened to us.
First, they didn't show up on the scheduled day to pick up our belongings. (should have been a red flag). Then they didn't even call us I called them, they ended up being 4 days late. After picking up the load they met my husband at the weigh station. They stated that if load was greater than amount quote we had better have "cash in hand". then the driver said that the load was 3000 lbs heavier. Which is very hard to believe, we didn't take any major appliances. So then they wanted another 2000 dollars. Hard to argue when they have everything you own loaded on their truck. So we paid. Over the next 3 weeks there were 11 different days that they were supposed to show up. It was very difficult to have someone at the home every time they said they would be there. I called and talked to their agents many times. When I questioned the weight of the truck and asked for it to be reweighed they hung up on me on 2 different occasions. Finally we got the delivery. The driver stated that he had to drive 23 hours straight to get there. Funny, because the distance of the move doesn't even take 23 hours. To say he looked less than professional is being very generous. Appearently his helper had answered a craigslist add for day labor. I was surprised to see that the driver didn't even have a hand cart for moving large items. He stated "lost it on the road somewhere between Tennessee and here", feel sorry for the poor driver who found it on the highway. They graciously took off 300 dollars for our troubles. What a great deal considering they didn't even deliver all of our stuff!! We are missing an outdoor propane grill, a couple of shelving units, and a dining chair, that is what I have noticed so far. Not to mention all of the things that were broken. I hope at least one person will read this and be saved from this company's scam.
