This company is definitely a SCAM!!! They called our office and asked if they could provide pricing for toner for one of our printers because they had special pricing and very competitive. I gave them the specific printer information and they verbally provided the pricing which was not even close to being competitive with our vendor. I told them that I was not interested and hung up. One and 1/2 month later, we receive an Invoice for 2 toners for a total of $1,323.02 ($579.00 each). We purchase the same toner for about $65.00 from our usual vendor.
Our accounts payable rep called and inquired about the invoice we received and SMI said that we ordered the toner and said that if we want to cancel, we can. We verbally canceled over the phone. They informed SMI that we would file a complaint with the BBB. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
