Friendly, unreliable, possibly adequate if you keep on him firmly

We arranged moving of a load from one location to 3 different drop-off locations, and paid for each location. The pick up went pretty well and the first two drop-offs were OK... well, so we thought at the time. The furniture to one address went partly into storage until a year later. A year later we find that there are no legs to the teak dining table. It's not worth much without legs. Now we come to realize why we could never figure out how to put the teak bed together. It's missing several pieces as well. Essentially, these most valuable pieces we paid to move are useless. One piece went to wrong address (but to a sibling). We asked him to look for those pieces -- possibly they were with the furniture he has yet to deliver -- but he could not find them. I suppose that if we had realized immediately, they may have been traceable. I suppose someone received pieces that were not theirs and didn't bother to tell? THEN, the kicker, more than a year later, he still has not delivered to the third address!! I've asked him several times to PLEASE just mail the box that has family photos and other family "treasures," but he just keeps saying he'll be delivering in that area soon. Now he's not responding to calls at all. In all, most of what we paid for was broken hearts, with one out of 3 deliveries ending up OK.
