I needed to move a two bedroom apartment from New York to California. I screened a lot of movers and decided on Key Moving because of the excellent reviews for the company.
They had originally quoted $2509; a very good price that included wrapping and blankets. This price was based on cubic footage of my items.
This move ended up costing me about $4200 in the end. I had to leave some items behind and I was still over by 250 cubic feet.
Though they were excellent movers, if I knew how out of proportion my final cost would be, I would have probably gone with another mover at a lower price.
