On top of all that they saved me money....
|
My husbands company transferred him on short notice and the kids and I were left behind. All our furniture and garage storage shed stuff needed to be moved from Denver to Seattle. We were provided a lump sum from the company for the moving expenses. So my first thought was that we would rent the truck get a bunch of friends to help load the furniture. I called uhaul ryder penske and the price to rent and then buy the gas ate up most of the moving money. Well this put a bit of a damper on my happy meter and my friend suggested I call a moving company. I googled movers and a company named Hercules popped up. When I looked into their background I found that even thought they are headquarterd in Los Angeles they have branch office/warehouses in Denver and Seattle. I called a toll free number that is on the Hercules website and I spoke with a moving sales rep named Chris. I told Chris that my husband had already moved to an extended stay in Seattle the company my husband worked for gave us a lump sum and we needed to move fast because I was not keen to digging into household money for this move. Chris told me that he would provide a total move cost guaranteed that would not change unless he and I changed it before the movers even arrived. I told Chris about the lump sum from the company and he told not to even tell him the amount. I told him I had no intention in doing that but I did tell him how much a rental would cost Chris said he would provide a cost for the same amount or less. I told him it needed to be less. After I gave Chris my list of items he gave me the total cost and it was half the amount of the rental. I asked how he could do this and he informed me that Hercules does a consolidation service they have multiple families on a 53 foot semi truck trailer, we were buying into a piece of the trailer and that's what saves us the money. I was liking what I heard and told Chris I wanted to shop around. Now when I called other companies that are movers most of them just told me how I would be worked over and taken advantage of. Chris at Hercules did not ever even go into this area of negativity. Chris was most professional he informed me what Hercules moving would do "for me " rather than "to me". This left a good taste in my mouth so I did not even wait until the next day to call back Hercules the call back to place my order with Chris happened at the end of that day. The other moving companies using scare tactics worked on me they scared me into selecting Hercules instead of them. All the dates pickup and arrival went off without a hitch. Chris was so thorough that when the movers showed up at the pickup and the delivery the move seemed scripted. When Frank the driver and I spoke I came to learn that Chris started moving furniture back in the late '70's and he was a Teamster in Chicago. Chris was trained by members of the greatest generation and you didn't do the mess around with them guys. Chris then went onto become a driver himself. Chris' approach to moving was as if he were out with the truck and mover men crew moving us. Hercules Moving was and is a top-notch service provider and on top of all that they saved me money, my back and sanity. Hercules really sets a high standard in an industry that has become less than desireable, thank you all at the Hercules Moving.
