This moving company gave me a binding estimate. They picked up my household goods in July and didn't get them returned to me until September. What was meant to be a two week wait became a fight to get my things returned to me. This moving company tried to raise the price on me AFTER giving me a binding estimate. They held my stuff hostage. They threatened me. All people in the company, from the moving consultant to the owner of this company, they are all rude and hostile. This whole company will try to scam you. I only got my things returned to me because I filed a formal complaint with the FMCSA who had continuous communication with this company's owner detailing that they were liable to give me my items or be fined and possible jail time. When I finally did get my items, they still tried to get me to sign illegitimate contracts and agreements. The inventory list didn't match my items so I had items missing. I had large furniture which is heavily damaged. This was a nightmare! If I didn't go through a government agency, who knows what would have happened to my household goods or my children's. Thankfully, because I was assisted by the government, I didn't have to pay anything more than the binding estimate so I didn't lose money getting my things. However, I did lose money because of their lack of caring for my things while they held them hostage and moved them. I caution everyone to not do business with this company. They WILL scam you. The WILL try to get you to sign a new contract and use manipulative and scare tactics to make you pay more. If you get a binding estimate from a moving company, you are only liable for that amount NOTHING MORE. Know your rights and check out moving companies on the FMCSA website.
