I was reading this couple reviews here and simply couldn't believe certain things written in some lines because I really can not see FlatRate guys acting as described.
Why? Because if I could describe my move with FlatRate, putting it in one word, it would be - IMPECCABLE!!! But really, the experience that I've had moving with them has nothing to do with the stress and difficulties that, I believe, we all had before, moving with different companies!
So far I've moved two times with FlatRate (across CA from Hollywood to SF, and locally in SF) and can not really decide which of these teams did a better job, considering how smooth everything went! Both of the salesman that I've been working with in LA and SF (Richard and Jake) were the most professional estimators in the world, treating me with both: the respect that customer deserves, and friendliness that you just don't get that often! Not to say how exact they were on their estimates, knowing how many boxes their crew is going to use for packing, which by the way is worth every dime! Also the dispatchers from both offices were very helpful and accurate, that projected in movers showing up on time, working both fast and careful, that it blew my mind away! They were courteous and friendly, treating my things like museum artifacts, helping me with everything that I asked for (and believe me I AM A DEMANDING kind of person). The way they packed all my china and glassware was stunning, without even a word from me about paying special attention at it. Everything was wrapped and packed like in a SF movie.
Having some moving experience before, I was still expecting some scratches and at least minor damages - I had NONE! Across Cali and NONE AT ALL-AMAZING!!! Not only that, they didn't charge me one cent more than what I was quoted at the beginning, all the wrapping and protection of my belongings were included in the price. The same goes for the BA branch that handled my local SF move!
All I can say is that I'm giving them a five star rating just because the scale is limited, but these guys deserve even more than that, which many of my friends can confirm as well just for taking my advice.
You should do the same, not going to regret it!;)
