BUYER BEWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS

I am currently in the midst of a nightmare with American Van Lines Inc. #1 They DO NOT HONOR THE CONTRACT YOU SIGN! They DO NOT honor the so-called “guaranteed window”
They will take your money, refuse to uphold their obligations of the contract AND THEN REFUSE to refund you the full deposit which is half the cost of the total contract cost!
I am relocating from New Jersey to Georgia. I only went with AVL because of its high reviews on the Consumer Affairs website. However I am convinced that AVL paid people to post positive reviews. This company is a scam! Their sells team will promise you the moon and the stars. They come across as professional, prompt and attentive. However this is a misrepresentation through their sales team. The goa is to get you in the door, sign the contract and then the experience thereafter is atrocious. In fact atrocious is an understatement.
I committed to hire AVL to do my relocation 7/15/2021 for an 8/2 move out. AVL claims to have a guaranteed 3-day pickup window. THIS IS A BLATANT LIE! If you have other time restrictions and need to move by a specific date and time DO NOT RELY ON AMERICAN VAN LINES! They are unreliable, unprofessional, unpredictable, and unresponsive!
I was just informed one day prior to having to vacate my current residence that the “professional moving company” I hired at $5k, and paid a $2500 deposit that they cannot pick up my belongings until.... get this.... “sometime next week or the week after next” OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!! Meanwhile, my spouse and I each have to report to work on Monday and our son has to report to school . We cannot stress enough that this company is NOT TO BE TRUSTED! They are just the opposite of accountable, reliable, professional and responsive.
They failed to adhere to their contractual obligations YET refuse to return phone calls, and refuse to refund customers their money for THEIR SCREWUPS!!!! I now have my attorneys involved but wanted to share my family and I horrible experience with this scammed company. Buyer beware!!!!
